A Gala Evening at the Royal Villa of Monza opens the exhibition celebrating Renato Balestra’s talent and starts a solid partnership with Marinella Di Capua’s foundation “Fondazione ASM”.
On Thursday, October 4th, at the Royal Villa of Monza, the exhibition celebrating an icon of the “Made in Italy” fashion - the stylist Renato Balestra - is starting. The event in Monza, supported by Marinella Di Capua’s foundation “Fondazione ASM per la Salute dell’Infanzia”, follows the preview at the Civic Museum of Domodossola on September 20th and marks the beginning of “Celebluation”. The exhibition’s name was selected to emphasize the color blue, identified as the symbol and distinctive trait of Balestra’s Maison.
In each of the Italian and foreign venues, the exhibition organized by Armando Fusco Produzioni will display over 250 sketches, drawings and garments selected by Renato Balestra himself to highlight his style’s evolution over a long and successful career. Of course, the exhibition will feature the stylist’s drawings for classics of the opera like Gioacchino Rossini’s “La Cenerentola”, Richard Strauss’s “Der Rosenkavalier” and Giacomo Puccini’s “Turandot”.
An event whose aim is to pay a tribute to the international stylist and his artistic personality. The venues following Monza will be: Naples, Florence, Forte dei Marmi and Trieste. Following these, the exhibition is scheduled to move abroad. In Monza, as well as in the other occasions, there is going to be a gala dinner, accompanied by live Opera Arias from the plays whose costumes have been designed by Renato Balestra.
The exhibition comes with an exclusive bilingual art catalog, tracing back the Maison’s history through drawings, anecdotes, photographs and writings by famous personalities from the world of arts, culture and showbusiness, which will highlight Renato Balestra’s gifts for creativity, originality and imagination.
